Family history:
"There was one THOMAS RANDOLPH in the census of Randolph Co., N.C. in 1790.    I {The author of the RANDOLPH GENEOLOGY BOOK} have a 13 page typewritten story by A.E. Stewart a neighbor of JOHN GARDNER in McLean Co. Illinois, in which Mr. Stewart says that John Gardner was born in N.C. and orphaned at the age of five or six."
